PET COSPLAY COMPETITION - TOYCON 2024

MECHANICS

1. The Pet Cosplay Competition will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on June 16, 2024. The competition is open for all dogs and cats at least 6 months old that are neither pregnant, in heat, nor have been diagnosed of any contagious disease.

2. Participants must fill up the REGISTRATION FORM provided. Registration can be done:

a.Online – pre-registration; see registration links below

b.On-site – on the day of the competition

3. A photo or soft copy of the latest vaccination record of the pet must be submitted along with the pre-registration form. The hard copy of the vaccination record must be presented to our Cosplay Committee on the day of the competition. 

4. Pre-registration will run from May 29, 2024 up until June 12, 2024.

5. Contestants must be at the designated meet up area 30 minutes prior to the competition. Failure to appear in the cosplay waiting area disqualifies your entry. 

6. Contestants may prepare a short performance/skit that runs up to ONE (1) MINUTE ONLY. Audio or background music for the performance must be burned into a blank CD-R or transferred via Bluetooth. FLASH/USB STORAGE TRANSFER ARE NOT ALLOWED.

7. All weapon props must comply with Anime Alliance Weapons and Props Policy. No Authentic and/or metal and/or explosive weapons and/or objects deemed unsafe by the Cosplay Committee will be allowed to enter the events. Anyone found with such objects will have them confiscated and they will be returned at the end of the event. If the situation warrants the person may be removed from the premises and the authorities will be notified.

8. Pets should be leashed or in a carrier before and after their stage performance. 

9. The owner will be responsible for the pet’s well-being and needs while inside the event area. Pets are encouraged to be in diapers while inside the event’s premises. 

10. Pets should be comfortable in their costumes and props during the show. The pet contestant is expected to walk the runway or stay in the designated prop. Pets who refuse to cooperate during the competition may be carried by the handler but may result in point deductions.

11. The owner will be responsible to clean up after their pet while in the event premises. 

12. The event’s staff and volunteers up to 2nd degree of consanguinity cannot participate in this Pet Cosplay Competition.

13. The highest scoring cat and the highest scoring dog will be announced as grand winners. Only 1 cat and 1 dog will be declared as winners
