TRIBUNG BAYANI

In keeping with its credo to motivate Filipino individualism and passion, TRIBU now aims to harness the innate creativity of Filipino artists from disparate creative disciplines with TRIBUNG BAYANI, a competition that enjoins today’s innovators of art to visualize what it means to be a true Filipino innovator

The on-the-spot design competition will entail the use of a blank (un-designed) pair of TRIBU SHOEDALs which will serve as the artist’s canvas. Materials (including SHOEDALS) will be provided by TRIBU, though the artist is free to bring any art materials s/he desires to use.

Though the competition does not require purchase of a TRIBU product, pre-registration is strictly enforced as the competition is by invitation only. To qualify as a participant, you must be a professional active in any of the creative/design industries, such as but not limited to: advertising, fashion design, illustration, computer graphics, animation etc.

The entries will be judged according to:

  1. Creativity
  2. Originality
  3. WOW Factor
  4. KA-TRIBU (the most in keeping with the TRIBU personality)

The winning entries will receive the following:

  • 1ST PLACE: P5000 + P1500 worth of TRIBU products
    Design will likewise be produced by TRIBU as part of its new SHOEDAL design series
  • 2nd PLACE: P3000 + P 1500 worth of TRIBU products
  • 3rd PLACE: P1000 + P 1500 worth of TRIBU products

All participants will receive a TRIBU OUTDOORS shirt and a pair of TRIBU sandals

All entries automatically become the property of TRIBU / SACRED PEAK MARKETING INC. and will be displayed in TRIBU OUTDOORS shops located in the Greater Manila area only.

2) Attach your updated resume and portfolio (maximum 2MB).

3) Registration closes at 12 midnight, June 12, 2009.

4) A confirmation email will be sent to you indicating the control number which you have to print out and present to the TRIBU OUTDOORS booth on the day of the competition. Failure to present the confirmation email automatically disqualifies you from participation.

5)The competition will be held on-the-spot on June 14 , 2009 at 1:00 PM.

TRIBU

Borne of a family united by a passion to explore and conquer the untamed recesses of the great outdoors, TRIBU is a collective of products molded by the demands of nature.

TRIBU SHOEDAL

One of the brand’s latest innovations, the TRIBU SHOEDAL blends the freedom and comfort of a sandal with the security of a shoe (hence the name).

The SHOEDAL features TRIBU patented Gecko rubber soles and canvas uppers with side vents to allow breathability.
